It’s one of our favourite times of the year — Wedding Week at Peony Patterns! This week is all about celebrating the magic of handmade garments for life’s most special moments: weddings, birthdays, christenings, and beyond.
Whether you’re sewing for a flower girl, a junior bridesmaid, or a sweet party guest, there’s something so special about creating a garment filled with love and intention. ✨
To help help spark your creativity, our incredible community of makers has created breathtaking pieces that show just how beautifully Peony Patterns can shine at any event. From soft tulles and silks to dainty lace details and floral prints, this year’s Wedding Week creations are truly inspiring.

🌸 2025 Wedding Week Showcase 🌸
We are so excited to share this year’s lineup of stunning makes by our talented sewing community. Click through each photo or name to read more about the fabrics, pattern hacks, and styling tips each maker used!
Lauren Marshall
Pattern Used: Annabelle and Charlotte’s dresses were a complete mash! Front bodice was Edelweiss/Willow, back bodice was Calliandra lining pieces, skirt Calliandra - doubled and gathered for Charlotte’s and sash was Edelweiss. Sleeves Sweet Pea short and mid length.
Kimberly Seegmiller
Pattern Used: Lily bodice with Mimosa skirt.
Fabric Notes: Embroidered Chiffon for top layer, and thrifted chiffon curtain underline with satin for the bodice
Special Touches: Kimberly clipped a satin foxglove bow (with tails made longer) to the back to mimic a sash.
Laura Sacred
Pattern Used: Dandelion
Fabric Notes: Overlay Fabric used was 3D White Floral Embroidered With Pearls Mesh Fabric Base Fabric used was Bright White Stretch Satin Fabric by Casa Collection
Megan Clark
Pattern Used: Ivy Bodice with a Juniper tiered skirt with lace overlay
Fabric Notes: The main fabric for the dress was Kona cotton. Megan used the bouquet from the Fuchsia embroidery pattern to embellish the bodice. She used lace trim on the bodice and also for the dress straps. All fabric and trims from Hobby Lobby.
Special Touches: In place of the French Knots, Megan used pearl beads.
Angel Espaldon
Pattern Used: Jasmine
Fabric Notes: Champagne gold bridal satin for the main dress, paired with three layers of soft tulle underneath for added volume and softness.
Satu Riitinki
Pattern Used: Juniper Bodice with Edelweiss Skirt.



Amanda Flor
Pattern Used: Willow
Fabric Notes: Tulle overlay
Special Touches: Amanda used a cotton underdress and embroidered Tulle for the overlay. The tulle skirt was cut extra wide and 4 of to make it extra puffy. She used clear elastic inside the sleeve to get the see through effect.
Pattern Used: Aster and Mulberry - .The bodice was lengthened to the mulberry length and the skirt was double the width of the plain aster and lengthened to the ground.
Fabric Notes: White linen lining with lace overlay and chiffon skirt with lace overlay.
Special Touches: Amanda used a rolled hem on the sleeve and used the lace only for the sheer look of the lace.
Natalie Yorg Almy
Pattern Used: Edelweiss
Fabric Notes: White Swiss dot from Farmhouse Fabrics
Special Touches: Natalie followed the Wisteria skirt pattern to add the pleats. She also only did one layer on the bottom tier of the underskirt so it wouldn’t be so full.
Chianti Andrews
Pattern Used: Juniper bodice with modified straps and back
Fabric Notes: Dupioni silk from Fabric Wholesale Direct.
Special Touches: Added a circle skirt with horsehair braid for extra volume
Johanna Bergmann
Pattern Used: Aralia
Fabric Notes: Poly jersey and lace from my stash
Special Touches: Johanna doubled the lace for the skirt and then gathered for more volume
Cassidy Maree Metcalf
Pattern Used: Gardenia (front bodice, sleeves and the bow) Calliandra (back bodice). Jasmine (skirt)
Fabric Notes: Quilting fabric from Spotlight in Pure white and Bluebell.
Special Touches: Cassidy added knitted lace trim to the sleeves in place of Gardenias ruffled sleeve. She used a thinner knitted lace trim along the neck line, V back and between the tires of the skirt.
