About Us
Peony Patterns was founded by Natasha Chrismas in July 2020. The company is based in Northern NSW, Australia. Our incredible team of international designers and admin team are based in USA, Singapore and the Switzerland.
Peony Patterns include clear step by step instructions, colour photographs, video tips, layered sizing and helpful techniques to construct the garment with ease. Metric and Imperial measurements are provided to cater to sewists all over the world.
It brings us joy to see sewists share their creativity and talent, from very beginners to highly experienced creators – come and join our Facebook Sewing Group to share your photos of your garments, ask questions and be inspired.
We acknowledge the Arakwal People of the Bundjalung Nation, the traditional owners of this land. We pay our respects to Elders past and present and honour those whose culture and customs have nurtured and continue to nurture this land. Black Lives Matter. Peony Patterns fosters an inclusive sewing community where Black sewists are valued and respected. We believe in recognition and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' rights as First People of Australia and as such wish to show our support and take action, by making an annual donation to charities that make a difference in indigenous lives and future. We encourage people to actively research and educate themselves on what they can do to take a stand and fight for justice and equality. (Update: Thank you for your support in 2020 and 2021 which has allowed Peony Patterns to make a donation to ANTaR on the 29/12/2020 and 27/06/2021). In 2022 (8/1/2022) and 2023 (21/04/23) Peony Patterns donated to Childrens Ground.
